= The wait II =
Where the heels assembled,
Like cattle in a little ranch
Waiting for their shepherd’s gesture.
Where the candles turret,
As if guardians of the Eucharist,
Expelling thoughts ranging from hell.
Where the alb assumes a hoax,
Representing the imaginary friend
And father residing behind the sky.
Where the stars scar the sky,
Leading wisdom toward redemption,
Influencing fireworks 2,000 years away.
Where the choirs celestial
Envision Jericho’s walls,
Hypnotizing the night’s ears.
Where joy horns loudly,
As if the prophecies of Revelations,
Hollowing saddened hearts.
Where the cellars’ water breaks,
Birthing wisdom of old;
The gift of God to men.
Where the untapped muse throne,
Refining, gifting limpid nature
Keeping us company as we wait.
